First official work exhibited in a gallery showing, pleuvra is a water-y experiment following in the footsteps of my fascination with the ancient, cyclical patterns of earth.
Made as a gift for my mother, this textural painting is entitled ‘pleuvra’ - meaning ‘it will rain’ - a fact, a promise, a hope for continual renewal and rebirth; this title also references the name my mother gave me, which means ‘reborn’.
